January the Non-Starter

January’s always a blah month for me. The buzz of Christmas is gone, all the previous year’s files need to be cleaned up and sent off to storage, and the weather is grey and wet and even more grey.

While getting back into an approaching-normal routine has been nice, I haven’t been able to make it stick as well as I’d like thanks to my ankles.  They’re in bad shape because of the cold and the need to have my orthopedics resoled, so there’s been woefully little climbing and aikido.

Mental note: I need to find upper body cardio options. Rowing, maybe?  Hard to break a sweat when you hobble.

On the plus side, there’s been more movie viewing, book reading, and audio practice.  I have one more chunk of thinks to edit, and then I’m planning to post it up here for the benefit of my nieces, and anyone else who might like to hear me read them one of my favorite stories.

  1. You’ve got this, hon:) January’s always a cleaning up month but do this right? Which you WILL? You’ve got eleven other months to score epic victories, which you will:)
