London Calling

Hello everyone!  How have you all been?

Well here it is, the “YAY my vacation starts in under three weeks!” post.  Which is the only way I could find to start this thing off without the phrase “as many of you know”, which is a crap intro.

Anyway!

Yes, it’s true.  In just over two weeks – really?!  Holy!!! – yours truly is coming to the UK for a two week and three weekend vacation.  My first trip abroad.

Excited?  Ha!  How about “over the moon, not quite sleepless but getting there, can’t stop talking to everyone about it, even store clerks who really don’t care” excited?

Since I’d love a chance to meet as many of you as possible, I thought this would be the best way to get the ball rolling.  My schedule is completely flexible from December 5th through 15th, with some wiggle room on either end of that range.  Coffees, dinners, movie, drinks, parties – what sounds good and works for you?  I’m staying in London, but if people want to congregate in a couple of places (York has been mentioned) I’ve got a rail pass and I’m itching to use it, so travel is possible.

Leave me a contact method in the comments if you’d rather talk privately.

Hope to see you all soon!

  1. Cool! It would be great to meet you 🙂 York would be best for me, as I can’t afford to travel and am therefore selfish that way ;-p My current flat is *tiny* so I can’t offer to host a party, but York has a wide variety of very nice cafes and pubs.

  2. Very exciting news! I have a car and a young-person’s railcard. I also have a very flexible schedule so I can meet up most places and times. I also love York, especially that time of year. If you want to do the Peak District or somewhere that you need a car I can collect you from a station and we can road trip somewhere…
