The Proof is in the Lack of Pudding

I’m out of town on business right now, in Madison Wisconsin.  I love this town, it’s like Berkeley – progressive and academic.  I was here three years ago for the same reason (work – I don’t bore you with details) and so many of the people and things I loved last time haven’t changed.  Amazing scenery, weather*, restaurants, and the country’s largest farmer’s market.

The last time I was here I remember it taking hours to walk around the entire square, gruelingly uphill and out of breath from the single bag of shopping I carried.

Today?  An easy 30 minute stroll.

I love it when the Universe pats you on the back for all your hard work.  And then lets you nibble a freshly fried cheese curd.

*I live in California – we’re practically a tropical climate with rainy and wet seasons these days.
