Slow and Steady Wins the Race

But without loud and proud it’s just a waste.

I overdid it yesterday, big time.  What was supposed to be an experiment with my usual walk turned into 2 miles too far.  THAT on top of the 6.5 miles on Sunday and I was shaky and ravenous when I finally make it back home.

So cranking back on the lunchtime gym work-outs this week to give myself a chance to rest before the Yosemite adventure this weekend.

My annual physical happened as well, with flying colors.  I’m going to meet with a nutritionist to see about fine-tuning my diet with an eye towards getting past my current plateau.  Also getting a physical therapy evaluation for the sore shoulder.  After the two year ankle issue I don’t want another small injury getting worse because I’ve ignored it.

Besides, I need that shoulder for kickboxing.  Which I have medical clearance to do as long as I start slow and increase over time.

Notice the word start.  *grin*
