Some Days

Some days are sulky, some days have a grin
And some days have bouncers and won’t let you in

Some days you hear a voice
Taking you to another place
Some days are better than others

Insomnia and I barely know each other, but when he stops by to say hello?  Well, the bastard eats the last cookie, tracks mud through the living room and doesn’t chip in for pizza.  In other words when I can’t sleep?  I can’t sleep and there’s no point trying.

So I didn’t.  I got up, I did things that needed to be done, and other things that were optional but important.  Tonight, I’ll sleep.
